KADUNA, Nigeria, 12th September 2023 – A joint venture agreement was executed this week for the development of Lithium resources on Eight Mineral titles held by Basin Mining Ltd and Range Mining Ltd in Kaura and Jema’a Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
The project, tagged ‘Jupiter Lithium and Critical Minerals Project’ is launching Nigeria’s first global tier one mining project. Project Jupiter is the gateway for the international mining industry’s entry into Nigeria for much sort after Lithium and other critical minerals.
The agreement took place in the presence of the Accountant General of Kaduna State, Alh. Bashir Sulaiman Zuntu and the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Mal Abubakar Abba Umar. The Hon Commissioner, Abubakar Buba and Managing Director of Kaduna Mining Development Company Ltd, Dr Mohammed Nura Sani Usaini signed on behalf of Kaduna State
The Jupiter Project is a cooperative of two Nigerian mining companies, Basin Mining and Range Mining which hold 462 sq km minerals tenements in the southern region of Kaduna State, near the township of Kafanchan, Nigeria where they have each made significant discoveries of Lithium and Strategic Minerals. The Nigerian companies have agreed to participate and cooperate in the development of their mineral discoveries under the umbrella of “Project Jupiter”.
