Researchers at Monash University in Australia have developed a lithium-sulphur battery design halving required lithium and mitigating a key flaw. They applied a nanoporous polymer coating to the lithium foil anode, allowing lithium ion passage while safeguarding against corrosive sulphur compounds, offering a more cost-efficient and durable energy storage option compared to standard lithium-ion batteries.
